| Comments | Quite a slow tune this. Starts very much ‘plip plop’ and builds upon in a very slow progressive fashion. There’s a noise in the background which at first I thought was a scratch on the vinyl, it isn’t and it’s bloody annoying. Melodic trance? More like progressive house in its rawest sense. Bit too slow for me, but i do like this first thing in the morning on the train. One for a particular taste I think. | |

| Comments | I like this. Good trance sound to it, lots of old sounding synths; you know the types that work. Nice start, the beat is really solid and it gives you that feel that something good is on the way. There are 2 anthems, both a tad on the short side; but both deliver a real quality sound. Things just pick up and the noise gets real trance, one of them ‘hands in the air’ moment. Shame about the length of the anthems, but you can’t have everything in life. A quality tune one the less. | |

| Comments | This is a pleasantly surprising tune. You need to let it run for a bit and it turns into a really quirky sound. I like the simple beat and even more simple synth that forms the main sound. It works on a very simple progressive formula of building bit by bit and it really works. The big plus to this is that once things are rolling it’s like one big long melody. There is the obligatory pause in the middle, but then things get going again. It’s not a classic anthem, but one that has really grown on me for pure simplicity. | |

| Comments | I had to listen to this a few times as it’s quite long and deep. It’s probably the length that really hurts this. The build up is good, but too long for what you get. I do like the deep feel to this and the underlying bass is really nice, lots of depth. The melody is solid enough, again very much on the deep side of things; but it delivers a strong sound. This is a club tune, one that you will hear due to the great bass line. It’s one of them that you will hear and want to know the name. A solid tune. | |

| Comments | This is a fantastic EP; all 3 tracks are superb in their own rights. Tonnes of energy in this, a very pacey sounding track; but don’t let that put you of. Great sound, very high end trance; probably verging on techno. Melody is very euphoric with a great synth and a nice subtle one in the background. This tune scores well, but the EP as a whole scores a stunning 5. There won’t be at tune you won’t like. Very very nice. | |

2/5 : Not Bad

| Comments | This is an OK tune. Starts a bit slushy and you have to keep with this to get to the real funky stuff. The melody isn’t really a melody as such. It’s more of a funk the tune up and lay down some decent sounds. This is highlighted as the tune does top and slow well down and it’s here that things really suffer. The beat is really good, but the flow is broken up; which is a real shame. I like the feel of this; quite techy in places and the noise is a tad different to the usual. Might just be me, so have a listen and judge for yourself. | |

| Comments | This bounces along quite nicely. Good vibe from the beginning, laying down a solid foundation to a solid melody. The melody just lifts the tune up and gives it some serious sound, nothing more. No fancy synths blasting all over the place; just a hard deep sound. Listen to this loud and it will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. This is a great tune to warm up to, lots of feeling and that deepness really gets into your head. Nice. | |

| Comments | This is a nice tune. Great bass line, has the trumpet type trance noise that really does bring back some great memories. Things move along nicely, a tad progressive as the sound builds up to its ultimate crescendo. This is in the form of a single melody that just throws everything together, ups the volume and away you go. A typical club trance tune that will no doubt get hammered by the so called big DJs. I like this, shame there’s only the one melody as it has an awful lot to offer for more of the same. | |

| Comments | Cracking tune this as is the flip side. Very much on the hard tech side of things. Pounding beat and the synths absolutely screech out at you. The vocals that fade in and out are great, give this a real atmosphere. Then the main melody starts to kick in and all hell breaks loose on your senses. It just pounds away, relentlessly. In fact, it can get a bit too much, but it sounds great and then it breaks out into something a tad less heavy. Doesn’t score tops due to the fact it is quite hard and not my usual taste, but in terms of a tune that rocks, go no further. | |

| Comments | Looking for club trance? Look no further. Temple One dish up a fantastic remix of a tune that on its own is still good. Solid sound from the start, with some nice subtle broken vocals thrown for the atmosphere. Beautiful melody that flows so smoothly into the brain, very nice. Shame it only has the one melody otherwise this would have been pure gold, for now; it has a few impurities. | |

| Comments | A typical Sunny Lax tune. Great beat with a great melody. SO what’s wrong with it then I hear you say? Well, it’s nothing new for the artist. Take a formula that works and spit out another track. OK, it sounds good; but I’ve heard it all before. Sometimes, even though I might not like it; it’s nice if an artist goes for something else. This is a typical club tune, the sort that all sound similar. Don’t get me wrong, I like this; but need something a tad different. | |

| Comments | This is a simple enough tune. Not groundbreaking or earth shattering by any stretch of the imagination, but a nice tune. Steady bass line with an equally steady noise throughout. The melody just enhances what you’ve already heard and goes on for a bit. To be honest, this is nothing hugely special. Would be a good tune to mix in and out of as a filler. | |

| Comments | Takes a few minutes to really get going, but worth the wait. This is euphoric trance through and through. Throw the big noise into the mix and add a very subtle piano and see what happens. In this case, it’s a really crisp sound; one that just does the business. There are two shots at the melody as well, although the later is broken up a bit, more for effect I think. It is quite short and more could have been done with the big noise sound as what there is either sound is quite flat in comparison. That all said, for the middle alone this is worth the money. | |

| Comments | Wow, big loud tune this is. Fairly early on you get a big synth that really pumps out a loud and meaningful signal. There is no real melody to speak off, it’s the whole tune. Very progressive in that it builds up, but from a very good starting place. The sound is really quite amazing and not heard all that often. It does verge on the tech side of life, but keeps one foot clearly in the trance camp. I like this as it’s different, very bold and very different. This won’t be for everyone as it’s loud and not euphoric, but if you want something that will make people stop and listen, look no further! | |

| Comments | Having a good run with this artist at present. This is a solid club trance with a nice touch of chilled thrown in for good measure. The beat is solid throughout and the tune has a nice ‘wave’ type noise that gives this holiday feel to it. The melody in the middle is nice, not very long; but about right bearing in mind the overall feel for this track. This isn’t going to knock everyone off their feet, but if you have a listen with a nice cold one and just let the sound do its thing; it’ll grow on you. It did for me! | |

3/5 : Good

|---|---|---|
| Comments | Taken from the Moon EP, this is a good offering; in fact all 3 tunes are pretty good. This isn’t a real hard club stomper tune, but what it does offer is a consistent sound throughout. The beat is solid and there is a nice simple synth that bounces along with things. The track is also quite progressive in that different elements are brought in, do their bit and they’re off. There are also 2 melodies thrown in, with the later a much more passionate number; which works and sounds really good. The bit that’s missing is that killer synth that really makes you stop and listen. For an 8 minute track, it’s sorely missed. If this was to get a remix and one was added, then we’d have a really serious tune on our hands. IN the meantime, it’s still well worth a listen. | |

| Comments | Odd tune this. It has quite a fanatic feel to it, yet once it gets going it’s quite a mellow tune. Very simple in terms of noise. There’s a beat (as you’d expect), a strange kind of whoosh synth to give the tune some depth and then in the anthem a more piercing piano type sound. It’s not overwhelming in that it makes some noise and then ends. It doesn’t leave you with that desire to play again straight away, more of a later on. It’s short and simple. | |

| Comments | This is an OK tune that could have been so much better. Reminds me of early PvD stuff in that it starts with a very solid beat that sounds fresh and meaningful. Unfortunately what then happens is that the tunes completely slows down. OK, I know this is normal; but in this instance it kills all the good work. You then get a simple synth that builds up to a pretty good melody; all be it only the one. Has that club euphoria feel to things, which always works in my books and there is an added uplift mid flight. Needs a remix to deliver the real potential. | |

| Comments | Great tune this, as is the flip side ‘Ivy’. Been a while since Mr Tyas has delivered what I consider to be worthy of his reputation. This is quite slow to get moving, lots of stop and start and first time I heard it I almost turned it off. Bear with things, you know when you’re getting close as a very moog type synth creeps in. The main melody is a really vibrant affair. Lots of passion, pace and good noise! This all builds up and each break has a different sound added into the mix; each bit sounding better and better. It just keeps going and it just sounds really great. Shame about the start, but a very worthy tune for any collection. | |

| Comments | This has a fantastic feel to it. Starts quite slow, the beat is there but almost plods along. There’s a synth that comes into play which lifts the tune up and then it just stops and starts all over with a very different synth, very moog like. The sound then just goes and just keeps going. There are lots of different melodies in here, with piano and rock guitar; which all come to together superbly. On top of this the beat gets much more funky; lifting the tune up. This is just sublime, so much is crammed into so little and it’s a joy to listen to. I’m sorry the sample doesn’t captcha this in full, but trust me you won’t be disappointed. | |
